Good afternoon all
I am staying in Windemere for a week in late August and would like to go for a daily 30 miler , trying to include Hardknott pass . can any one point me in the direction of a decent map I can buy to help on route planning and for when I get lost !
Any help is gratefully received .

PS
If anyone has Restaurant/Bistro coffee shop recommendations for the Lakes area please let me know.

Difficult to improve upon the good old OS maps. You can get one covering the whole of the Lakes, and it will cover a good area surrounding Windermere. At the very least you sholud visit Wilf's at Staveley - there are some nice lanes between Windermere and Staveley. Granny Dowbikinns at Pooley Bridge is good, and would give you a spin over Kirkstone.0

Here's a cracking route I did earlier this year, it takes in Langdale, Blea Tarn, Wrynose and The Struggle, so you can shorten it in places.
