Free Hub Compatability

Problem
I was trying to swap my rear cassette last night - but it was stuck on
The teeth had bitten hard into the splines
So I am going to use the double chain whip solution to get it off (when I get another chain whip)
But the free hub is going to have some deep grooves
Question
I'd like to replace the free hub with a new one (without the damage)
Can I use 'any' Shimano free hub body?
It is a DT Swiss 10 speed shimano hub/ wheel set

you need to use the correct on for the hub. with spline patten of choice.
Shimano only refers to the spline patten."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
