    From the garmin site:

Can I upload using my smartphone?

Only Garmin devices with Bluetooth can use the Garmin Connect Mobile app to upload data. And, you’ll need a compatible smartphone, too.

There is an unofficial workaround for non bluetooth, see here http://www.dcrainmaker.com/2013/06/garmin-ipad-android-surface.html

But it is easier with BT!

I do it all the time from my Edge 500 to Garmin Connect via my Xperia Z3. You just need a USB OTG cable and an app like 'OTG Disk Explorer Lite' (free). When you've plugged in the Garmin to the phone, open the app and browse the Garmin for the activity, and download/save it to your phone. Then use your phone's browser to open garmin connect or strava, and do a manual file upload with the .fit file you've just saved.

Denkfaul says it all. As long as you can browse to the .FIT file (some mobile browsers don't let you select .FIT files) then you can use the regular Connect website to upload (or straight to Strava)
