Fresh Tripe - AVOID

All
Have had to raise a dispute with Paypal for a refund regarding Fresh Tripe. I ordered a pair of Deep Drop Brakes 3 weeks ago (as they were shown in stock). These have not been shipped and have had various excuses given to me (items expected and would then be shipped, then nothing and then when chased again told they had been shipped and I should have had them, but refused to give a shipping number or details of who they were sent with).
My patience ran out last week and I contacted him to ask for an explanation or an indication of when I should get them, otherwise would get money back from Paypal and post my experience. Its been 3 days and not a dicky bird, so am posting this to warn others not to deal with them. I don't like to do this for the small businesses, but don't want others to have the same experience

I'd also advise avoiding fresh hedgehog, squirrel, pigeon, pheasant, rabbit etc, especially if you have no mudguards.
Even more worth avoiding if they are 5 or 6 days old...
And if you're in the USA avoid skunk. The flattened, pungent mammal that is, not the herbal mood enhancer...

I used to like the French Andouillette, but I know find it quite revolting... not sure why, I am not biased against tripes and stuff
Tried that once when I had an unexpected extra night in Lyon courtesy of the erupting Icelandic volcano. I'm generally an omnivore, but I found that particularly unpleasant. I suspect they take all the bits of animal that would normally be thrown away, mince them and stuff them into a sausage. And feed them to tourists.
I can see it working if grilled, then put in a wrap with salad, tomatoes, chillies, a fresh zesty relish, but they serve it with a fat creamy mustardy sauce, which makes it quite sickening.

In Lancashire it's eaten raw - with vinegar !

I've bought from Fresh Tripe multiple times and they've always been very helpful and quick to resolve any problems or stock issues. If you're after Velo Orange parts they're the best supplier around.
I have no connection to the company, by the way.
Mum used to cook tripe for dad. I could smell it 50 yards down the street. Turned my stomach...... nothing would entice me to every actually try it.
