Anyone willing to rent their Enduro Bike for 7 days

Hi all,
I'm taking part in the epic cymru next month and my Trek Fuel Ex isn't up to the task. I wanted to know if anyone is will to rent their bike out to me for a week instead of me forking out a couple of grand to only use it for a week? I'd be willing to pay obviously (£200).
I mostly do trail riding and I think it would be unnecessary to buy a full on Enduro bike just for this event.
Thanks

Offer up a £5k deposit for when you don't return or break the bike and you may get some takers.Bird Aeris : Trek Remedy 9.9 29er : Trek Procaliber 9.8 SL0 -

Why is the Fuel EX not up to it? Personally looking at the event details I would think a more xc oriented light weight bike with a double/triple ring might be more suited. 50-65km a day for 4 days in bike park and xc oriented trail stages. I don't think lugging a single ring 150mm travel bike is going to help you any.Closet jockey wheel pimp whore.0 -
Not a freakin chance! Hand over my £3k bike to a complete stranger off of the Internet for the possibility of maybe getting a couple hundred quid if you bring it back? It's just not going to happen.
As above, I think your Fuel will be absolutely perfect for the event. You're going to be spending a lot of time climbing big hills and the descents certainly won't be too much for your bike.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
Absolutely love this haha! His very first post too! Yeah right! It matters not, win or lose, it's how you ride the bike0

If you'd been on here for a good few years, had built up a relationship with other users and had a sudden emergency that meant you're own bike was unusable asking such a question might appear a bit of a liberty. But to come on here and ask such a thing as your first post is just ridiculous. Nobody is going to lend you their bike, there are businesses that rent bikes try looking at some of them.0

Bit harsh lads, fine it's a pretty dumb question and obviously noone would do what he is asking considering the risk of damage, theft, paltry money on offer, etc, but you could be a bit nicer about it....0

Send me a picture of your wife, if you don't mind me having a ride maybe we could swap for a weekBird Aeris. DMR Trailstar. Spesh Rockhopper pub bike.0

I can give you my bike for lets say 3k deposit, how does it sound?
If after seven days, when you're back it's not in the same condition as it is now I'll keep the deposit... Hmmm???0 -

What I find funny is he was like "I'll pay obviously (£200)" like he thinks anyone will rent their bike to a stranger for £200 hah & I'm not a racer or anything but I don't see why the ex fuel is not up to itBikes:

It's more than up to the job. Maybe the rider isn't and thinks an enduro bike will make up for a lack of talent.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
