Hi guys.

I have changed from a Tiagra 12-28 to a Ultegra 12-25 but now the gears are shifting up that well and jumping ever so.

Any ideas what I could check?

Thanks

Have you reset the rear mech?

    If no start there.

Did you put a spacer behind the new Ultegra cassette ? i think a spacer should be included but not 100% sure.

Tiagra cassettes have a spacer built in. So that could be the issue.

Is there play in the cassette if you wiggle it side to side ? Freehubs can move abit also so try not to mistake it for that.

Check the lockring is tight and the wheel is seated properly.

    Right.

Spacer already on as its a 10sp.

    The cassette was seated correctly.

BUT there is a washer, which my Tiagra didn't have. From the instructions it says the washer goes between the last cog and lockring, but I tried putting it on, but it seems it's not from there?

    Thanks

    I already found my answer.

The Tiagra cassette came with an inbuilt 1mm spacer, the Ultegra doesn't and needs fitting aswell.

    Thanks guys.
