Power Meter Hire

Not quite buying advice but are there any companies that hire power meters? I'm interested to see what actual power I produce when cycling but can't justify buying a power meter at the moment. I've got a Garmin so would just need a power meter and I'm guessing something like a Powertap would be best as it would be just a wheel swap.
Even better would be if anybody knows a company that hires power meters in the North East of England so that I could collect and return without messing about with delivery.

Assuming it's Shimano and you have an allen key (who doesnt) then http://www.wiggle.co.uk/shimano-crank-installation-tool-for-hollowtech-ii/ for £1.65 is hardly going to cause you too much grief.Trainer Road Blog: https://hitthesweetspot.home.blog/

Interesting, the videos I've seen seem to suggest there is more to it that that. Especially with torquing correctly.0

Waste of money hiring one. Unless you are going to use it to monitor training then there is no point in knowing how much power you can produce. The power I produce varies from day to day depending on how I am feeling. This morning 200W for 2hrs other days it can be more sometimes less. Peak power varies a bit as well. So if you hire one and get a average power output what will that tell you, nothing as you have no baseline and still no way of tracking progression. I am not sure if they even necessary for training effectively.http://www.thecycleclinic.co.uk -wheel building and other stuff.0

It's my money to waste and my decision whether I feel there is a point or no point to knowing how much power I can produce.
To the rest of you that replied, thanks for the advice.0 -
A number of places like Cadence sport offer 0% finance on power meters, you might be better just buying one, using it, see how you go and if you like it that much keep it. If not then you can always sell it on for a small loss, that loss further offset by the money you would have paid out for hiring one.Trainer Road Blog: https://hitthesweetspot.home.blog/
