Windy Thursday

Wind caused by consuming an excess of London Pride last night.
Trying hard not to call one of my customers an idiot today. Got a stroppy email complaining that some parts he ordered weren't in the consignment we'd shipped to him a week earlier. This may help explain to SAE10w/40APISM why I hold some of my customers in such low esteem. Other than dealing with idiots my day will mostly consist of shirking.
Meeting at the scout hut later as more work is needed so more cash must be found.
Lovely day out, if a little fresh this morning. Hopefully it will stay nice for a while.
Onwards and upwards...

Customer is always right! Why I dislike consumer laws for Universities appearing (and I don't think we should be selling degrees just the knowledge for you to work and obtain one)
Back home at 1am last night, this morning was tougher than I expected. Blustery here but not in V68s way.
To the coffee shop (well the office boy can, I've got more important things to procrastinate with like this)0 -

My boy's learnt to pedal and steer his trike. He went twice round the big park. Looks like he'll be getting a bike for his third birthday. Then took him out on the mountain bike, tore up the local dirt a bit, followed by me dangling him over a stream so he could put his hands in there. Great day all round.0

I had to actually do some work today.
Lovely day it would have been fr a pedal. Evening ride went out of the window as it's persisting it down.
Maybe tomorrow...
TdF highlights soon.

Not a bad today, rode in to work and traffic didn't seem too bad didn't really notice it was a tube strike day until I went past a 300 yard bus queue outside Waterloo (walk, you lazy toe rags). The way back was a bit different - carnage on most of the main routes with the odd bit of fisticuffs between taxi drivers and moped riders along the way. Still not a bad ride though as weather was great and weaving in and out of the traffic was a good test of bike handling skills
Work was like the Marie Celeste apart from my team who all showed up. Must be scared of me "I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0 -
Cheers for pad advice Stevo.
Not a bad club ride tonight, need to whip some others into shape, they seem to think they can slow the pace when they get to the front, they need to work harder.
Really need a new admin person, may just use the uni job photocopy boy, he is loads more competent0 -

Odd ride home - on for a really quick time and came upon a car crash, recognised a mate and ended up driving him home in his car after a car had swerved to avoid him in a 40 zone, then ended up in someone's garden a fair way from where my mate pulled out - think he may have been speeding in his dad's merc
Just got home in time for dads taxi duty0 -

Now she knows you have some spare, it will get worse.
Stevo I'll have you know I've been doing some gentle crudder stuff once a week (only a hour mind, compared to the 10-14 hours on a road bike)0 -

To be fair, I have a trade account with Dingbro and they are very good.
I don't get this sort of phone call:

Bloke In Spares Shop Somewhere In London "Woss you want mayte innit, ees no a Loookass, is a Bosche innit. Loookass no bloody good, ee heets up and make da plenty puff wen eet gets 'ot"

BISSSIL sneaks off muttering catholic obscenities and retreats to inner sanctum of BB to vent frustration...seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -
Don't talk soft. You can't use Bosch to replace a Lucas unit. Bosch use electrickery, Lucas works by smoke transfer. The biggest problem with Lucas systems is smoke loss. What people don't realise is after the repair you need this to replace the lost smoke:
