Hi all,
Due to some damage sustained to my rear wheel I am looking to replace the wheelset on my B'Twin FC5. Current wheels are Shimano RS10 which have been more than adequate for a rider of my ability and the mileage that I do.
I wondered if anyone had any recommendations in the £150.00 ish price range for a road wheelset (I know this isn't going to get me anything fancy), needs to be 10sp Shimano compatible. I have been considering Fulcrum Racing 7 and Shimano RS21, anyone have any experience of either of these wheelsets?
Many thanks.

How about Fulcrum Racing 5 LGS? Only a few quid above your budget and give you the advantage of a wider rim.0

If you can stretch, I would say Cero AR24 https://www.cycledivision.co.uk/cero-ar24-alloy-road-wheelset-bundle
If not, look at what Merlin have from Mavic (Aksium - under budget), Fulchrum (racing 5 - on budget http://www.merlincycles.com/fulcrum-racing-5-clincher-wheelset-2014-63284.html or racing 5 LG just over budget http://www.merlincycles.com/fulcrum-racing-5-lg-clincher-road-wheelset-2015-74070.html)0 -
Fulcrum Racing 7 LG's have a wide rim.
I recently bought a set and have a few rides on them. I mainly got them for the wider rim which im a fan of. Cornering feels better and the bike feels alot more stable. So far i think they are fairly decent for the price. They feel well built and ran true out of the box. The spoke tensions seem spot on. The bearings are smooth and feel as good as any others i've felt. Once up to speed they roll quite nice and feel well balanced. They are not the quickest to accelerate but they are not too slow either. The braking surface performs very well. The graphics look nicer than other entry level wheels at this price. They look alot more expensive than they are. I think they make a great everyday/training wheelset.
They came over the claimed weight of 1750 grams
Front wheel is 819 grams
Rear wheel is 1029 grams
= 1848 grams - with stock rim tape removed and tesa tape fitted, without skewers.
Ribble currently have 10% off with 'MID10' code. Which brings them to £107.95
or this package deal with 2 tyres and 3 inner tubes for £120.55

The Aksium Elite from Merlin looks a good shout - I run Aksiums on both my bikes and they have never let me down. I paid £150 for the last pair as well, so £140 with tyres included looks a bargain.0

Thanks for the info guys. Budget is definitely stuck at £150, so I can't see past the Fulcrum 7s or the Aksiums at the moment, getting tyres and tubes is bonus too! More research needed on these two I think.
Thanks again.0 -
Miche Reflex are pretty good and under your budget. Same hubs as the Miche Primato/RG2. Stiffer than the askiums but a narrower rim than the fulcrum R7's. so your choice should be the R7's or the Miche Reflex.http://www.thecycleclinic.co.uk -wheel building and other stuff.0

Campagnolo Khamsin's are great value for money and under your budget.0

Thanks for all the suggestions, I went for the Fulcrum Racing 7 LG in the end from Ribble. Just over £120 for wheels, tyres and tubes and they arrived next day.
Had time for a quick test ride on them yesterday and was astonished at the difference in performance from the old RS10s. Looking forward to clocking up plenty of miles on them.
Thanks again for all your assistance.
