One of my friends sold me his unused Bell Meteor 2 helmet for £45 as he hadn't had time to wear it as he has multiple helmets.
Can anyone advise me how to get the maximum gains from it whilst riding my road bike, for example I heard it's best to make sure the length of the tail touches your back? Anyone have anything else to add?

I'll add this.... don't wear it on you're road bike you will look like a right tit. They are for a time trial bike position and unless you are in this position its not doing its job anyway.

If you're going to wear it whilst riding a road bike, make sure you wear it like this for the full knob effect.

Only use it for Time Trials - otherwise you will look odd.

More importantly, a tailed helmet is less safe than a standard helmet. In the event of a crash the tail is likely to cause significantly increased rotational forces if it strikes the road or some other object. There's no reason to wear one outside of races...and maybe for a couple of practice runs to get the position right.
