Cassette Price

I am about to finish off my new bike build. I was wondering if its worth spending a lot off money on the cassette, I am going for XTR setup but the cassette is very expensive compared to the ones I have previously brought. Would the XTR cassette last longer or should i just go for a cheaper one.

    XT or SLX will last just as long, what you pay for is weight saving, not longevity.
    Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
