Hi all, getting myself thoroughly confused does anyone know if this bb http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/shimano-xt-slx-bb70-hollowtech-ii-bottom-bracket/rp-prod41445
will fit a standard 2010 specialized pitch pro?

or recommend an alternative?
many thanks,
Roo

    It will, but only with Shimano HTII cranks.

    Your link to the "bike" dies not.

    So I will ask this what cranks and BB does your bike have?

    Parktools have good info on how to ID cranks and BB standard.

    The UK Spesh website lists the cranks and BB as being truvative so there is a good chance you will need a GXP BB set.

    So the shimano you linked to will not work.

    First off, excellent bike choice! Secondly, the BB will fit the frame, but depending on what cranks you intend on running, the cranks may not fit the bottom bracket. If you use a Hollowtech II bottom bracket, you'll also need a Hollowtech II crank. I don't know much about the standard GXP2 2.2 crank, but Truvativ is an arm of Sram and GXP is Sram's equivalent of Hollowtech, but sizings are different. So if you're wanting to keep the GXP, you'll need a GXP bottom bracket. Something like this presumably;

    You can get adaptors to run GXP cranks in an HT2 BB.
