Hello,

Ive recently upgraded my bike and now have hydraulic disc brakes (Clarks EXO). The pads are constantly rubbing on the disc, theres hardly any give between the pads. Are you supposed to 'wear them in' or should they be adjusted. If so how? Im not very familiar with hydraulics.

Many thanks.

Quick setup is to undo slightly the two mounting bolts, hold on the brake, tighten the mounting bolts and then release the brake. If that doesn't work look down the disc / pads gap and centre it up by eye to leave an equal gap each side.

Its the small clearance that makes disc brakes work well, a bigger clearance and they wouldn't work.

A small amount of rub isn't unusual and as long as it doesn't stop the wheel spinning it's fine.

Align calliper and bed them in.
