So on the hottest day of the year I manage to get two punctures, but only had the one spare inner tube. Knowing the wife would not be able to pick me up for another 1/2 hour, I started walking back towards home. I also rather hoped and expected that one of the numerous cyclists I had seen out on the road would stop and offer assistance, because this is what we do, don't we.
So a massive thank to the two blokes that stopped and offered me one of their spare tubes. I really would have preferred to buy it off you. If you pm me I would like to get a replacement to you.
As for the three blokes who sailed past without even acknowledging me, thanks to you all as well for reminding me that maybe I need to be totally self sufficient after all!
