Come on guys (and gals) - this starts in two days time and not a mention...
Rabo-Liv without Vos this year so perhaps a more open race. I'm expecting to see Lizzie in the national jersey win a stage

The stages - A nice meaty finish to the race:

Is the lovely PFP riding or is she staying with XCO
Anyone know if this will this be on TV at all? Live or highlights.0 -

Hopefully the Rabobank girls stick to riding their own race this year instead of getting up to last year's shenannigans again. They could try that tactic with Lizzie A and see how it works out.

What are these shenannigans you speak of?0 -

Yeah disgusting behaviour and completely any joy I had in watching Vos or PFP.It's not so much about winning, I just hate losing.0

A few Rabo-Liv riders started trying to physically block Mara Abbott on the final climb - video here (skip to ~38:30 if link doesn't work)
Abbott has a stronger team this year; the last stage is on Elisa LB's home ground and she's been out riding a lot judging by Strava.
Just seen a climb close to Verbania (the start of the 9th stage) from Ornavasso to Alpe Rossombolmo which is supposed to be harder than Zoncolan or even Angliru in Spain. I'm there tomorrow so will give it a go on my bike.BASI Nordic Ski Instructor

This is about most I can glean as to where it'll be shown.
edit: BTW that's a good website about women's pro cycling generally0 -

Isn't this one of the bigger races on the Womens calender? if so you would think they would have better TV coverage.
I'm curoius, what's the point of this prologue as it's only 2k.0 -
I am hoping that veloism or one of the other cycling youtube channels will have recordings of the Rai Uno coverage/highlights. TDF live during the day and highlights of Giro Rosa (a few days in arrears) with my supper0

Stage 1 top ten.
1. Barbara Guarischi
2. Lucinda Brand
3. Tiffany Cromwell
4. Elena Cecchini
5. Floortje Makaaj
6. Giorgia Bronzini
7. Annalisa Cucinotta
8. Anna Zita Maria Stricker
9. Mia Radotic
10 Anna Trevis0 -
Annemiek van Vleuten (Rabo-Liv) won the prologue, and Barbara Guarischi won the Stage 1 bunch sprint. Lucinda Brand is the current Pink jersey wearer. I believe Barbara Guarischi is now the wearer of the best Italian jersey, taking it off of Valentina Scandolara.0

Ah - Spoilers guys! I know I am not a regular but immediately after saying I intended to catch up with the action a few days after it happened we get two posts with results.
Could we at least have a banner on the topic title?0 -
Sorry! I didn't think that anyone would be bothered about stuff like that on this site. It's not exactly well know as a forum to go to to get info about women's races.... :oops:0

You're a star. Thanks. Frankly the Aviva women's tour was a real thriller so I thought I would see if I could follow some of the other womens stage races - I must admit still struggling to find even recorded tv highlights0 -
Yeah...That is a problem. If you're going to like/watch/follow the Women's peloton, you will have to become something of an internet detective and put the time and effort in to find stuff. This is a fairly good place to start...http://prowomenscycling.com/
It's updated regularly with links to videos etc.
Enjoy!0 -
