Hi
I have a Shimano ultrega chainset and currenting using a 10 speed power link from my Tiagra chainset. I bought a KMC 11 speed power link and replaced the 10s link, but the thing didnt work right. The link seem to not bend when it goes through the RD, cassette and FD. It flipped like and made a funny noise as it did so.

Any suggestion as to what I should do? I have no option to use chain links as I misplaced the links when I measured the chain.

A 10 speed chain requires a 10 speed quick link.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

  • Keep running the 11 speed link and wait for the day it goes pop.

    Or bang.

Yeah, an 11 speed chain is narrower. So its a bit like wearing underpants which are a bit too small - things don't move normally. Which, coincidentally, would have a similar effect in some ways to smashing your man parts on the top tube when your chain snaps.
