    Bad luck?
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

I must admit, I've nearly done that myself - after a long drive on holiday, you forget they are up there.

I am currently trying to sell my car to buy an estate, to the bikes in for such instances of going on holiday etc.
the bikes will go in the car, the clothes and luggage etc will go in a roof top box.

i can quite easily replace my clothes for a couple of hundred quid, the bikes however are several thousand pounds...

a guy up the road done similar going into a sainsburys car park, put a big dent in the roof of his nissan note...
he was more concerned about the bike hahaha
My winter bike is exactly the same as my summer bike,,, but dirty...

Yeah I did that driving out of Harrow station car park. Met my mate off the train, put his bike on the roof, started chatting away as I drove off then there was an almighty thump and his bike landed on the road behind us, still attached to the roof bars. One of those 'No entry to vehicles higher than this' gantries, only we were leaving...

There was a train in the station at the time, I imagine there were plenty of folk watching that particular disaster unfold.

Steel 80s MTB, Small dent in the steerer, he still rides it I think.
