Fitness Bike for Mum

Hi guys,
My Mum is looking to get a fitness/road bike with the initial aim of losing weight.
So far we've been looking at the Canyon Roadlite AL (https://www.canyon.com/en/roadbikes/bike.html?b=3626) - mainly because I'm looking at Canyon's myself, and it seems to be good value for money.
Her main criteria are:
- Flat handlebars
- Budget: £500 to £950
- She is 5'10, so perhaps a mens frame would suit her best.
Your help would be much appreciated!

Also looking at Boardman Hybrid Team now, which seems good value for money and she can easily go in store to try one out.0 -
