Not sure which forum is best to discuss about these bikes but I have been advised that they may be the best option for me to buy.

I have seen this one http://www.evanscycles.com/products/norco/threshold-a2-2015-cyclocross-bike-ec072588#features but no idea if it's any good.

Any advice welcome.

That looks pretty good value, I don't know how good the hayes brakes are, but everything else looks good at that sales price.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

Try some bikes out. For 600 quid do not buy without a test ride

I have a cross bike and it gets used for pretty much everything (including CX racing!).
What is your intended use for this?
As the others say it's an OK spec for the price, but a test ride would be recommended. Evans are usually pretty good for that sort of thing.
