Yes, but tbh there's really no reason to. V1 gives the same data as V2. It's just an upgrade for folk who can't work a torque wrench, like LED's and want black bits for their black bike:

Think the main reason is that people have broken their V1 pods and it's difficult to find replacements...
AFAIK you can't just put a V2 pod on the V1 pedal, you have to fit the full upgrade kit in the link above.0 -
You do need this upgrade kit... many problems stem from this supposed easy hot swapping from bike to bike.
Mine have been a fit and forget and have been working completely fine for months now.
I did buy a spare pod when they were in stock .. of course after breaking one soon after purchasing the system and replaced by garmin.. never had to use.
