I am trying to work out what chain is good for a 10 speed set up? They seem to stretch very quickly.

Can anyone suggest one that is made of decent stuff and not liquorice!!
Greetings from the wet and windy North west

Chains don't really stretch but the rollers in between the links wear out. I dont believe in chain wear checkers and prefer to run my chain and cassette into the ground. Others have a different approach.

I've had good experiences with KMC x10's (73/93/SL ) so they are my go to choice. Plus they come with quick links.

I've had poor wear from Sram's and lots of broken chains from Shimano. So they are off my list.

I've heard good reports of Campagnolo ,Wipperman and Connex chains.

KMC, SRAM, Shimano, all chains stretch with wear though.

KMC are good but ive had one broken shimano chain (on a mtb) in about 30years of riding, chain wear depends on use and mtce - unlike Trialflow, i bin chains before they are too far gone, cassettes last ages like this, chains can be bought fairly cheaply and i dont want to be stranded somewhere with a broken one or bring down riders on club run.

Narrower rollers, higher contact pressures = higher wear rates :(
