Well we've all done it ! Few beers ingested, iPad in hand looking at bike porn when you see something you like.
I happened upon a Colnago with black and tan tyres and thought ..hmm that looks nice, so Wiggle did there thing and today some new wheels and Vittorio tyres arrived.
I like the look ! I may go for black bar tape and saddle at some point. the bike is my climber, its a 52 as opposed to my usual 54, hence the inverted stem, and I hate the saddle pack but we all get mechanicals ...sadly

Get rid of the saddle bag. You should get a tool bottle such as this

Nice bike and wheels other than that.0 -

nice one.... I used to like them back in the day.0 -
Those are heavy wheels for a 'climbing' bike..??0
-
It's the gearing that makes it the climber, I have lighter wheels for when the climbs are 'serious'0

Whats the thinking behind a smaller size for climbing? Lovely bike.0

I hear you... but sadly dont believe you.
The frame deserve better... I'd reboot but after all you have to ride it not look at it ;-)0 -

Thinking ? Oh there's no logic, other than it's an Extreme C and I always wanted one and it was a steal. Having said that, when you are on an alpine climb, there is a bit more room on a smaller frame to 'bob about'.
I don't like the inverted stem, but it means I can ride a stunning bike, and like my other Colnagos, it's a joy to ride.0 -
Really like it! I think I'd go for black saddle and bar tape. Thinking about gumwall tyres for mine.Even a stopped clock tells the right time twice a day0
