this a cracking event on a very safe course, quiet roads and due to the steepness of the finish, no bunch sprint.

so any over 40s get ya self down to this cracking event...... only 30 in so far, so easy points :)

Is it definitely over 40s, I thought masters is 30+?

well, if it said Masters A then you d be correct but it doesn't, in the link, it states MASTERS C + which is over 40s.

a masters race for the over 30s seems abit ridiculous to me.

    Mid season lull... ?
Hope you get the entrants but on my part I cannot now justify the cost of BC racing with the minium number of suitable events on offer.
Maybe hold it under LVRC regs next year? ;-)

Not my race i m afraid, just trying to generate a little interest, last time a load came down from Wales !

we looked at an lvrc race but all the race kit is at least 250mile round trip away and local BC region hate any mention of lvrc....which is very odd, as they are quite happy with CTT

Why should BC hate any mention of the LVRC? Who? The regional committee, comprising of old farts who used to race against the guys still competing in LVRC events, but just can't cut the mustard anymore.

In my experience, the LVRC will support any organiser who wants to put on a race, including providing race kit if needed. However other local clubs have their own race kit and are often more than willing to lend this out.

It's down to what went on in the past basically.
In this part, BC just dont cater for Vets at all so there is little need for friction.... however always an however aint there?
BC just love to take ownership of everything cycling....and things are not very smoothly at all with a bit of a change of wind as regards Road race regs (1960) and permissions for our local circuits.

As the BC like to laud it over everything cycling, then they should step up to the plate (or in this instance the start line) take responsibility and sort out the shambles and confusion with regards to permissions and accredited marshals for next year, particularly up in the NW, JGSI. Thankfully (for now anyway) not too many RRs cancelled that I've heard about, darn sarf.
