Planet X pro carbon vs B'twin Mach 720

I've been riding an old b'twin Triban 3 for almost 3 years and it's time for a change. I'm doing 150-200 miles a week and likely to get into racing from early next season. I'm only looking to spend a grand for a complete bike for now but over time will look at better wheels etc.
Planet X have the pro carbon at £899 with full 105 and £999 with full Ultegra. Great pricing for the kit but I know the frame is quite old these days.
The other option is the Mach 720 - http://road.cc/content/review/154399-btwin-mach-720
It's lacking just a bit with components by using non 105 chainset and brakes. I would likely change the brakes immediately. It looks a much more modern frame and is raced internationally at U19 level.
Any opinions?

If it's specifically with the intention of racing, of those 2 I'd go for the B'Twin. Newer, stiffer frame.0

It wouldn't be specifically for racong but I guess it would make sense to go with a frame that I can take racing if that's what I decide to do next year.0
