Wasn't sure about posting this but as it now appears to be in the public domain. Unfortunately the weekends racing has seen a competitor lose his life due to a crash in a road race. Very sad news and could have happened to any of us that race - a crash in a sprint finish.

Very sad news indeed.
A friend of a friend of my partner, who told me the news today.
Poor chap was only in his mid forties and leaves four children.

A real shame.
Racing seems to me to be on the whole getting safer.
