Have a look at Decathlon (Rockrider) or Halfords (Voodoo), you can get a great bike in that price range.I don't do smileys.

The 560 is the much better bike.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

I'd prefer the Shimano, but the new DB's seem to have sorted a number of the complaints that used to be aimed at Avid brakes.
Unless you find a heavily discounted bike, the 560 is the best bike by far at this price point.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
