Riding on Zero 1's and recently the back wheel keeps going out of true. Is it worth getting truing stand? Is it difficult to do. I have basic mechanical skills. Thanks

Definitely worth getting it retensioned, as it should not go out of true

  • I keep intending to get one but so far a couple of blobs of bluetac used to stick cocktail sticks to the end of the brake pads with bike upside down on the table has sufficed! All I ever do though is the occasional spoke replacement or minor tweak; if I had your issue I would pass it to a pro as it sound like it needs properly re tensioned which needs stand, dishing tool and tension meter. Feels like too much investment for me now but once I retire I fancy maybe trying to get into wheel building (among many other plans).
