thinking of upgrading my summer bike wheels from my mavic ksyrium equipe to something with a higher spoke count never had much confidence in them since my mavic aksium rear wheel kept buckling on my winter bike being 87 kilos dont think 20 spokes is enough.bought some replacements from the cycle clinic sould i do the same again for my summer bike or get something off the shelf .please bear in my im not loaded regards paul.

The advantage of having hand built is that IF you've spoken to a reputable wheel builder and told them of your requirements then you should get a wheel that you know is capable of doing what you want. If they are good (Cycle Clinic, Ugo - of this parish, Spokesman, Harry Rowlands etc.etc.) then you'll get great value as well.
