New to mountain biking, but wanted something for on the road and a little bit off. I used to own a commencal and loved it so I purchased this one second hand and wondered if I got a good deal?
Bought a Commencal Ramones for £170, in ace condition.

Too late now as you have already brought it!
That's why I was asking if I GOT a good deal.0 -
Sounds pretty good here: http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/category/bikes/mountain-bikes/product/review-commencal-ramones-1-10-35902/
bit heavy though.0 -
If it's in good mechanical condition, it was a good buy, however it's for aggressive riding, if you don't ride it in the right way it may not be the best buy for you.
Weight looks OK to me, you can end up with a lot heavier for that money!Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -
Fantastic cheers for the responses. It seems to be in amazing condition. Bargain for £150 it seems.0

Nope - not true.0 -
Indeed, if it gets you out and then puts you off as it's pants, its not a good bike!Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

So basically you bought a stolen bike and are now posting on a forum to see whether you got a good deal from the criminals you bought it from? If you have any moral fiber in your body richard I think you should contact the police and see who the bike really belongs too. Maybe the owner will be thankful enough that you reported it to give you the money back that you payed for it, then you can save up and buy your own non-stolen mountain bike and be proud of it.0

A £1250 bike for £150 in "ace condition".
Seems legit.0 -
Maybe, maybe not, but that is your assumption. Accusing someone of criminal activity based on that might even be libellous.
Do you read the Mail?I don't do smileys.
