Changing Crankset

I need to change my crankset because the threads that hold the pedal in on one side are stripped, and I have 2 questions:
1: would you change just the arm (left side) or the whole crankset?
2: if I do change the crankset, does it matter if the new one I buy has the same amount of teeth, or is a different amount of teeth able to fit on the bike and ride fluidly?
thanks.
if it helps: i have this bike:

and i'm considering either:

or

thanks

1. If it's a good chainset then I'd just change the arm.
2. No. You can adjust the chain and front mech accordingly.English Cycles V3 | Cervelo P5 | Cervelo T4 | Trek Domane Koppenberg0 -
