Hump Day

For the absent hump day man. Pretty sure his idea of hump was similar to that of an old lady's yappy dog.
Anyway should be a quiet day, may go make a football thread and see if people talk on it.
Legs are still in agony from run/gym/cycle so today I shall rest then go out for some dinner with a banker, who no doubt will make me pay.
I will also look at the idea of retrofitting a combox to the car, find it too costly and ditch it.
Duck, honey and salad for lunch today.

Long meeting today, hopefully a short ride tonight followed by an early night with a cup of tea.

Morning all,
Hopefully not a lot going on today. With any luck I'll manage to avoid dealing with the public, I don't like them. Pub later having skipped off work early with any luck. Rode the boy's old steel road bike in today. It's a really nice bike to ride, and now creak free thanks to Coriororiororiordan's crankset. Woohoo!!! Downtube shifters are a thing I haven't really missed, but satisfying in a strange sort of way.
Onwards, to tea and mediocrity...0 -

Hump Day is a term imported by crudders, use it sparingly. Maybe your bankering pal could sell a portion of your dinner back to you at an inflated price.
This morning heavy rain. Off swimming with No.2 soon so more of the wet stuff.

Excellent morning so far - oodles of coffee, ladies in the office have sorted an IT issue that I had no idea how to deal with and was steadfastly ignoring and telling them to find an SME to sort it out and have been given the green light to get away in January (work related but should be really good fun).
All round, top stuff.Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am

Afternoon All,
Had a good sunny and warm pedal into work this morning, we're into shorts and t-shirt territory for a bit now. Work is routine today but not too stressful. And the PL fixtures are out so we have something footy related to talk about - maybe.
In other news, I've become a registered Labour party supporter (see Cake Stop thread)"I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0 -

V68, think that will be the case.
Just been told by 3 people I look worn out. Im 28 ffs without kids. Pass me the touche le clat.
I am enjoying the cricket tho
Sounds like your more in need of Horlicks and slippers and have long past the point of touché éclat making a positive improvement.
And you are closer to 30 than 20....“Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime. Teach a man to cycle and he will realize fishing is stupid and boring”

Matt don't worry, you are only as old as the woman you feel..."I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0

Are we keeping 3 daily threads going?
Yep. Is that against the rules?
Lets get back on track.
My woman is 14 years younger than me.
Matth - you don't need to tie them up in Shropshire, don't flatter yourself. Besides, if you cross the border and go to Dudley, you can get a foursome for a bar of soap. You may want to use the soap first though...
@Sae15w40. What is it with all this 'dating'? Does that mean you have to break ice all the time? Don't you come across females in the day to day that you can get to know on a less formal basis?seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -

Dating is just each time I take a girl out, could be the same girl, could be a new one. The point of only dating is it means I still remain uncommitted but interested. Or some shit like that, basically I hate the idea of being the other half.
What would you get across the water from me for a bar of soap?0 -

Come to Stranraer and we will start the bidding. I think you should cut the bar of soap into four, then we'll have real bargaining power. You'll be fixed for life. Don't worry, leave to all to me.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -

Perhaps you could give us an appraisal of it considering you are obviously very familiar with it Bally.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -
I'm not clicking that link Bally.
Probably be a good idea to use the soap on the woman of Stranraer, Definitely if they are like the women of Hanworth.0 -

I did toy with the idea of surreptitiously posting the link under an innocent sounding phrase, but decided that would not be cricket old chap.0
