I have recently purchased a sticky pod but I find that it's a pain to have while out on a ride I also hate saddle bags ....is it a case of biting the bullet and going with one of them?saddle bags just look crap and always wobble about or rattle for me also the sticky pod with a pump tube and tool with keys and cash is still to bulky I hate my pockets full of stuff ..... Any ideas or can anyone point me in the direction of a compact saddle bag ? As I'm guessing this will be my option
When i die I just hope the wife doesn't sell my stuff for what I told her I paid for it other wise someone will be getting a mega deal!!!

    Water bottle as a container?
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Then that excludes a water bottle but it's a good idea

oakley soft case (or similar, shouldn't bulk up the pocket, or spread it out across the three pockets?

On that note, I did use a suitably sized cheap compact camera case (excluding pump) for a while.
That stretches jerseys too much so I have reverted to spreading the load using a jiffy bag for phone, cards and notes.

Available a few places, in black or white, and in two sizes. The 500ml one is big enough to fit a tube, levers, patches, c02 pump (minimalist design like the innvovations one etc), spare co2, quicklink, some rag, a multitool, some money, a costume for a chimp, a cistern and a javelin.

How about something like the Lezyne Roll Caddy:

You can put it under the saddle or in your pocket if it's not too stuffed. If you want something more 'normal' their micro caddy is not very rattly:

I usually use a tubular neoprene pencil case, which holds 2 tubes, 2 CO2 carts, a mini pump, levers, patches, tools, zip ties etc. This slips into my middle jersey pocket quite nicely. I carry my phone and money in a Ziploc style freezer bag in my left rear pocket along side my single garage key. The right rear pocket usually contains gels and/or a packable rain jacket. If I want to travel a bit lighter, I'll use a Rapha Essentials Case instead of the pencil case and only carry one tube and CO2 cart. The pump doesn't go in the case, but sits along side it in the centre pocket.

You might also want to consider the Lezyne Caddy Sack, or just buy a multi pack of Ziploc freezer bags and use them until they need replaced. I bought a pack of 20 odd for around £3 a couple of years ago and still have plenty left.

Pay for a mate to ride alongside of you and carry your kit ? If you pack your saddle bag properly it won't jangle. And if you're riding - you can't see the pack anyway ?

Back pocket in a Lezyne caddy sack or in a bottle cage.

Either way, I give this 3 pages.

Are they UCI race compliant? I'll stick with the aforementioned, works well for me but not everyone.

I hate saddle bags. They look naff.

I use one of these - http://www.lezyne.com/product-orgnzrs-caddys-roadcaddy.php#.VYBQcqOrqsg - which is technically a saddle bag, but is so compact it hides away nicely under the saddle.

In it, I keep: a multitool; three tyre levers; a chain tool; and a couple of KMC links. I keep a small pump and two inner tubes in one of my jersey pockets and that leaves the remaining two pockets free for my phone, key, card and a bit of food.

With some clever use of elastic, I am going to look at strapping the pump to the underside of the caddy.
