Hi,

I seem to have mashed up the top of the pinchbolt on my new Ultegra crank. It is still ok, but wanted to switch out for a new bolt to avoid any future problems. Anyone have any idea on the type of bolt this needs or whether these are standard sizes (i.e is Ultegra 6800 one the same as Ultegra 6600 one (http://www.jensonusa.com/Shimano-Hollowtech-II-Pinch-Bolt) or a Dura-ace one). Can't seem to find clues on compatibility on the internet. Wanted to avoid the 'titanium' Chinese jobs on the internet and go like-for-like.

Cheers.

This has the same Shimano part number as the 6800 version. http://si.shimano.com/#seriesList/38 (FC-6800, EV link ) I'm not positive but I believe this bolt has a slightly smaller head than the standard generic bolts you can find in hardware stores so save yourself some time and a headache and stick with the original Shimano piece. You can just bring the part# to your LBS and they can get if for you as well.

The Shimano part reference is Y1G398010 Clamp Bolt (M6 x 19) & Washer and appears to be inter-changeable with the other HTII crankarms, apart from Dura Ace, which is (M6 x 15). Can't find any info on the material specification, though will be a grade of high tensile steel.

Phone SJS Cycles; they stock a wide range of Shimano spares and I'd trust them to send you the right things.
