11-32 to 12-25 chain length and derailleur
I am currently riding a Felt Z75 that has 11 speed 105 setup, 34/50 and 11-32 gearing. As I tend to use this mostly on the flat now I have no need for the low gears so I want to swap to a 12-25.
So two things:
1) I am unsure if I will also have to change my chain (I know it's reccommended, but I mean in terms of length).
2) As I currently have the 11-32 I also have the medium cage derailleur, will this be ok with the smaller cassette?
thanks in advance

Dropping from 32 to 25 as your biggest sprocket should mean you can take a link or two out of your chain.
Whether or not you need a new chain depends how worn your existing one is. I generally fit a new chain with a new cassette to get maximum life from the cassette.
You could keep the old chain with the old cassette ready to refit them if you find yourself heading to the alps or doing the Fred Whitton...
The rear mech will be fine.0 -

Thanks for the response. Does "can" mean "should", "have to" or "whatever, it doesn't mater" ?0 -

The last one. I always like to have my chain as short as possible so I probably would shorten it. But it won't make any appreciable mechanical difference, after all, it was already working with sprockets smaller than 25...0
