Can anyone help me?

When freewheeling downhill pretty quickly there is a tick tick tick tick tick noise. I can't quite tell exactly where it's coming from.
It sounds like from the chainset but it could be a little further back. The strange thing is when I put it on the stand and spin the rear wheel and chainset to try to recreate it and identify where it's coming from its silent.

It's only when I'm on the bike and it sounds as if something it tapping against something as the wheel revolves. The faster I go the quicker the tap.

any ideas it's driving me wild?

Thanks

    Brake rub.
If you are a heavier type and use a wheel that has the cassette side bearing located well inboard, the axle can bend under load and allow the brakes to rub.

Could be the front wheel then.
Do you have a magnet / sensor on the front wheel??
Try greasing and retightening the QR levers?
Or something stuck in / to a tyre; that wouldn't show up when in the workstand.

Cheers both - I'll try those suggestions and hopefully I'll be able to sort it
