Ultegra Di2 Rear Mech (6870) cage replacement

So my rear mech exploded going up a hill this afternoon, anyone know if the 6800 short cage mech cage is the same as the Di2 versions?

    More to the point, how did it explode in the first place? Need pics!

    Really not 100% sure what happened, had used them for around 200~250Km and no problems, was going up a hill (that I've been up a few times with no issues), changed down a gear and there was a bang and i locked up and went off sideways and this is the remains of the rear mech.

    Oh and after a bit of digging the cages are the same with Di2 and Non-Di2 ultegra
