Cycling into Paris on the same day as the TdF

So I have been planning a London to Paris ride, arriving on the morning of the Tour de France's arrival. The idea is that I get into Paris by lunch time so I can drop off my stuff at the youth hostel (near Notre Dame) and head back over to the Champ Elysee to watch the pros as they go by at @1730.

I'm just finalising my route, and it turns out that I'm weaving in and out of the official route. To what extent is it likely that road closures will completely cut me off? Am I ok to try and follow some of the same roads several hours before?

My route (I plan a very brief detour to Versailles): http://ridewithgps.com/routes/5490092

I'm following Donald Hirsch's route.

    Hi,
I and 3 others are doing much the same route from Dieppe that day. But we don't think we are fast enough to get to Paris before the race finished so hadn't been too worried about road closures. I might need to take a closer look.

Still trying to find an answer for this one. Essentially, what time do they start closing the roads down completely?
