Not really new. Decades ago there were Uni snap on disk wheels and about every flavor of fairing. No doubt they are built on one heck of a wheel - but, "looking" aero and being aero are often very far apart - look at Spinnergy, Aerospoke and so many other attempts.0 -

Looking at their address - I am MORE than willing to bet that there is some relation to ABG and Real...almost undoubtedly.0 -
The issue used to be either that the fairing would rattle against the spokes, or be heavy, or both.
