Stuck between two bikes

Hi guys,
I think it’s about that time again…Old bike is on it’s last tyres. Need to buy a new one. Ideally, a commuter since I cycle to and from work & gym. I’d say I do at least like 3/3½ hours of cycling a day. Anyway, I’ve been looking around and I’ve seen two bikes that have both good reviews & look beautiful. I’m stuck between these two (budget is £1,300)
Roux Etape 250:

And Suffolk by Whyte:

I don't necessarily have to spend the whole £1,300, so if I got the cheaper one I'd save money for other things. Opinions? Other bike Recommendations?

I love my whyte bike - but for that much I would want hydraulic discs.0

So if you had to choose out of them two, which would you go for?0 -

Neither. I would go for a flat bar commuter -- and if I wanted a road bike for weekend rides I would pay Decathlon a visit and get a triban.0 -
Planet-x London road with flat bars or bent to your choice, may not be on hydraulics but BB7s are just as good.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

The Roux is a bit like my existing work bike.
That Roux gearing is too MTB like- small chainset, large cassette.Say... That's a nice bike..
Trax T700 with Lew Racing Pro VT-1 ;-)0
