Ashbourne - Derbyshire Route

Hi all, I'm off with a few guys for a ride in Derbyshire. We're looking for something that starts and ends in Ashbourne, about 100km with a few decent climbs. We have three experienced guys and two who are novices. Ideally we want something that would allow the newbies to miss some big climbs but meet us on the other side! Any routes, suggestions would be appreciated.

Ay up Coltrane, Ashbourne has its own club. Have a look here:

When are you going? L'Eroica is on the 19-21 June and is in nearby Bakewell"It must be true, it's on the internet" - Winston Churchill0 -
Ok, I'm sure you can come up with a route, but head out towards the Manifold valley, I started at Carsington and did this route, https://www.strava.com/activities/292794222 you can do something not quite as brutal if needed.Trainer Road Blog: https://hitthesweetspot.home.blog/

Gents, just FYI we used a route from the Ashbourne CC (4th April 56 miler), fantastic scenery and a fair amount of ups and owns compared to the flat lands of Leicestershire. A particular favourite was a down hill where we hit 45 mph! We then went back out in the afternoon on a 20 mile loop (although that did include a couple of local pub stops)....great day and all in the name of a send off for an American friend.
cheers0
