83mm BB fit 73mm shell?

Just a quick question to double check my logic.
Can't find a 73mm Saint BB for a decent price, but can find an 83mm BB.
Am I right in thinking that I can use my old spacer with the new cups and then it will fit ok?
In other words are the cups the same on the M810bb's and just the black plastic spacer making the difference?

Any shimano compatible cups can be used. You don't have to use the dirt shield."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
