Red or White Carbon seat post 27.2

Hi,

I am looking for either a red or white carbon seat post with 27.2mm diameter.
Can find some alloy ones, does anyone know if i can get a carbon seat post that is not black?

I suspect not. They'd have to be painted, and the paint wouldn't last long once inserted into the seat tube, so would look tatty if ever moved.

It would be relatively easy to get any uncoloured carbon post and wrap the exposed portion in white or red adhesive film? Might not look perfect and you'd need to get the height right firtst but with a little care it should look the part i would think.

Red and white at the same time any good?

Paint on parts that need to be clamped is not a good idea... aluminium can be colour-anodized, but carbon can only be painted.
That said, you might be able to find one where the outer layer is made out of white glass fibres... I think I have seen something similar in the past

There were some "white" carbon posts about a few years ago - more silver than white in colour. Only red posts I've seen are Ritchey WCS alloy. Any painted post is prone to scuffing or chipping IME.

Ah OK thanks! i didn't think about the scratching. I will go for the alloy solution for now and take it from there.
