Rattling internal brake cable

I have a Cinelli Supercorsa with an annoying, intermittent rattle which I'm 90% sure is coming from the rear brake cable which is routed internally through the top tube

Can anyone advise me how to fix this? It's so irritating...

Pump the guide tube full of grease.

Whilst I haven't tried it, I had a similar problem with a cube agree GTC, someone suggested the following

the only reason I havent tried is because the dropout for the frame has worn to the point that the wheel is no longer straight! very annoying and think the frame is a goner, sorry, slightly off topic there!
