Has anyone any experience with Rivelo clothing?

Looking at the Honister bib shorts and they look good. Whats the pad like? are they well made?

Anyone who has used them, would love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks

From the manufacturers website (as opposed to the sales at Sportspursuit). Cytech pads are ok.

Look to be "British designed, Italian made" shorts (like a lot of others, and pretty new as "launching at Sportspursuit".

not that impressed with the rear pocket set up if the website images are anything to go by - better off sticking with Gore or Giordana - same price, but better gear

What are your impressions so far on these? Thinking of getting a pair, as the black ones are now £49.99. What's the sizing like?

Had mine a few weeks now. I'm 6'4" and about 16.5 stones so ordered the XXL. Overall, I'm really pleased with them. The finish seems quite premium, the pad is very comfortable. I found the back of the pad was a bit further back than it need be but it is easily the most comfortable pad I've had. The straps are nice and tight. The leg grippers are a bit like my old Castelli shorts.

The shorts come up quite high compared to others which some people may like or dislike. For what I paid, £50, I think they're an absolute bargain. I actually prefer them to my new La Passione shorts and they're much better than my old Assos bibs.

I also got a Pembridge jersey and I really like it. It is super light and comfortable.

How do they compare to the La Passione shorts? Currently torn between the 2, I know the Rivelo uses the Bastogne HP pad, whereas the La Passione uses the endurance an anatomic joker pad (both good Cytech pads). I have quite an aggressive riding position, so interested in the pad positioning as well as the general quality of the shorts.

From a pad comfort point of view I prefer the Rivelo shorts, which surprises me because I expected the opposite because the LP shorts were more expensive and the pad positioning doesn't seem right on the Rivelos. I have a relatively relaxed riding position so you may find the positioning more strange but I'm guessing it probably differs by size too.

Plus the red at the bottom of the Rivelos looks awesome with a red jersey.
