Hi, was just wondering if anyone has any experience with the cheaper out front garmin mounts.

Here's an example of what i mean......

My main concern is that they would shake a lot with road vibration..... Do you get what you pay for, are they pretty good??

They look the same as the ones that I use with an Edge 500 on both of my bikes. Cheap and nothing wrong with them. Had one for about 18 months and the other for about 8 months without any issues.

There are a few good options out there. I have used Raceware and Tate labs and both work well and offer some unusual designs. Then again, the standard Garmin option also works well, IMO.

Bought this one and the garmin 1000 rattles a lot on it. Going to replace it with a genuine or k-edge version as I've had no problem with either on the other bikes.

Cheers for the input guys. I'll be using an edge 500, its smaller and lighter than some of the other garmins, so hopefully it wont bounce about as much.

I have a SRAM one for my edge 500 and it is great, cost about £10 from eBay...don't foresee me needing anything else...I don't know why people pay more....( unless you have a 1000 )

    +1

Have SRAM mounts on both bikes, for a 500. Great value/performance, but not sure a 1000 will fit.
All the gear, but no idea...

I too have SRAM mounts on both my bikes, have the first one about 3 years now and its been knocked several times and I've had one crash where the tabs on my Bryton 35 broke, the mount is still perfect. Theyre a tenner on ebay and I couldnt justify paying any more for anything else.
  • The Superstar Components ones are great. I've got two running a 500 and can't fault them.

They're out of stock though.....again
