Specialized Tarmac Crit Racer updated 30.06.2015

Managed to pick up a nearly new (55 miles) 2014 Tarmac for the bargain price of £550.
Sora Groupset is coming off to be replaced by 5800, i'll probably run my Carbon Clinchers until i get get some tubs.
Here it is as purchased

How did you get it for 550quid?! That's a really nice bargain you got there!

I stumbled across it on preloved.
The owner was local, genuine and had receipts.
He bought it because his mate was into cycling but quickly realise he hated it.
Its brand new!

I need to re-wrap the bartape, level the saddle and cut the steerer but have run out of time as i want to use it this evening
I'm going to change the saddle for a Selle Italia SLR, 6800 Brakes and probably get some tubs

Its worked out pretty good value.

The Shifters and cables were £95 , Rear mech £20, Chain £13 from CRC
Stem, chainset, Front mech and saddle were spares lying around from different bike changes over the last couple of years and the wheels were already being raced on
I should get £100 back from the Sora Groupset and wheels but wmay keep them incase a winter frame takes my fancy

Black bar tape would be my preference but otherwise looks menacing.

I have to say that in its current configuration I think this is one of the best looking bikes on here. Really understated but "purposeful". I'd have gone SRAM Force though, continuing the black and white theme! How do you get on with those Superstar wheels BTW?

The wheels have been great. bought them in the black friday sale for £550. Cant complain considering the quality of the rims, DTSwiss 240s hubs, CXray spokes. Great in all conditions
Didn't go Sram as never used it and most parts i had from previous builds/upgrades

Oh right, they then offered 105 on the 2015 model, that's a big jump.

White and black is much nicer than this year's flat black, though
