No Ant+ signal from Stages

Just about to go out for a ride and my Garmin wont pick up my Stages power meter. I tried my wife's Garmin and it cant see it, neither can my laptop Trainer Road software with Ant+ dongle.

Tried swapping the battery, makes no difference.

Its about 1 month old, done 40 hours max and seen rain once. It has the new door with the red seal and when I took the battery out there were no signs of any moisture.

Its not been knocked, and was working when I put my bike away 2 days ago.

Any ideas at all what I can try?

Downloaded the Stages App and its not working via bluetooth either.

Right, so battery #3 seems to have done the trick. Battery #1 was the original, #2 I pinched from my light an has barely been used.

Seems these Stages stop working once the battery drops even slightly below full!

    I'm off for a ride now :)
  • So when the battery is flat is it noticeably slower responding to efforts or do you not notice?

Not sure if anyone else experiences this, but I seem to get a 50/50 chance of batteries that last a few days, then a decent one that lasts 4 months +.

Just had the same problem. Worked perfectly for 5 months (original battery) and last week it wasn't detected by either the garmin or the stages app. Changed the battery but still isn't detected by either.

Email sent to stages but haven't heard back from them

Had my stages for over a year now. 2 batteries which is fine. I damaged the door (my fault) and had a replacement within a couple of days.

One tip seems to be that there is not enough pressure to get a good contact and that gently lifting up the central contact may make a difference.

lucky man, many problems seem to appear after the first battery change.

Make sure you don't crush the side tab that touches the battery.

If people are not placing the battery in carefully, then problems will occur after first change.
