Should cleat position be identical on Specialized BG Shoes?

1 x pair Specialized BG Comp, used at bike fit and go well with no discomfort. Also have 1 x pair Specialized BG Expert same size, 45, and overall shoe length is the same. Same SPD-SL yellow Shimano cleats.
Thought that it would be correct and easy to set the front of the cleats to the same distance from front of shoes but there is not enough adjustment in cleat to do this on the BG Expert pair where cleats are set 4 mm back.
Answers to this puzzle? Or do I just stick with it?

You do not measure from the sole of the shoe, you measure from the ball of your foot. So, press on the outside of the shoe (with your foot in it) and find the center of the ball of your foot and make a mark there. Align your cleat from that as compared to the same spot on your other shoe. As for the axis - that often is a two person thing with a trainer. God, I miss the original Time pedals with the TBT sole....0
