Wiggins 10-Mile Time-Trial set-up

Having moved from Sky to his own, eponymous team in mid-April Wiggins is now riding a SRAM groupset and Zipp wheels. This bike would not be allowed in an international event; the non-standard grippy material on the saddle and aero bottle (which actually improves the bike’s aerodynamics) are both banned by the UCI but allowed by CTT regulations. :?

Should this be 10 mile TT set up?
Happens quite a lot. I know of many cases of domestic time triallers who ride CTT events every week who spend no end of time changing their position/set up in the weeks before the Nationals. Or even turning up to the Nationals, having their set up checked and measured then having to spending time tinkering, swapping bits or even sawing things off before they can ride legally!
A slightly tilted saddle is just one example of something that would need to sorted ahead of riding UCI sanctioned TTs.0 -

Does that dimple effect make the bike act like a Golf ball? Can you then put a bit of fade on your bike run?
Personally, I fade naturally.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -
Shouldn't this be in amateur race?
Loads of bikes were failing the bike check at the Nationals last year. I guess it's part of the charm of CTT that they don't get dragged into petty rules on equipment design and it's not as if Wiggins is somehow gaining and unfair advantage as everyone is racing under the same rules.0 -
