Afternoon folks,
That was indeed an interesting read, don't think much of Mr Campbell, but Charles Kennedy always seemed decent for a politician.
Not too much going on here. Bunking off early as I drove in today due to a serious case of wind and cba. Aircon is being fitted in the office so we are guaranteed a poor summer, sorry about that.
I think I'll drink the tea that has just been made for me next. Then I might deal with some customers.0 -
Morning, I think. Back from my "holiday" now so forums ahoy!Advocate of disc brakes.0

Not a bad Tuesday really, should have the wind behind me on the way home too so should be back in double quick time!
Was pulled over by the police on my way in this morning, I was cycling past a junction they were pulling out of and the police woman was on the phone (or at least I thought she was) so I foolishly did a phone signal with my hand and smiled whilst shaking my head. Then when she went past she pulled me over and said that she wasn't on a phone and was in fact on the radio, i resisted asking her what show she was on!
But it was like a full size walky talky type radio so was very much like a phone so is that any better than a phone? I didn't think it was wise to ask her that at the time!www.conjunctivitis.com - a site for sore eyes0 -
How is a phone different to a radio, surely you have to distract yourself from the task at hand (driving) to press the required button and hold the device up to your ear to have a conversation?Advocate of disc brakes.0

I wouldn't have stopped. Surely you know all the one way systems to out fox them
Years ago when I was a lad, at the end of a TT, one protagonist asked the assembled group cycling home if we wanted to go into town. I was the only mug to go with him being new and all that. We cycled into Terminus road which was restricted to buses and taxi's only. He leant up against a railing and I was momentarily puzzled. Very shortly, a cop car came along on the other side of the road. My accomplice gave them the fingers and shouted w4nkers and took off. Heart in mouth I took off behind him and we had this chase all around the Eastbourne ring road. The problem was that he was a good track rider and keeping up was a mare.
Suffice to say I didn't get caught and when I met up with him some days later, I asked him what he did that for and he just replied that it was fun and kept him fit!
Back on line today. The 3rd world North is still intact after the gales.

You know when your boss sits there and tries to lay out the law according to him to a bunch of you and you all look at each other and see glazed facial expressions but you know that inside you all know he's an utter cokk and he's spouting the wrong shyyyyte at the wrong people and demoralising everyone to the point that they don't care anymore?
Yup, that kinda day.
Did I mention that my boss is a plank?Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am

Decent day all in, ended up working from home and got loads done as no meetings for once
Dropped the eldest off at his tutors and realised I was too late to go out with the cycling club, 5 mins later a mate rings to see if I wanted to go out for a couple of hours, 40 miles at a decent wind despite the winds - perfect0 -

Nothing, it was a real holiday to Egypt.
